The Summer Mentoring and Research Training: Methods In Neuroscience of Drug-abuse (SMART-MIND) program provides an intensive summer research training experience for undergraduate students and high school teacher-student teams. Participants in the program conduct research under the mentoring of UTEP neuroscience faculty, participate in professional development workshops, and present their research findings at our COURI summer symposium. All participants receive a stipend, and out of town participants are provided travel to/from UTEP and housing.
